The EU must do more to protect and support civic space and democracy globally. Civil society should be involved in all stages of transparent decision-making, including in such areas as sustainable development, environment, budget, human rights and relations with Africa.

The EU should provide sufficient and transparent funds to address global challenges and tackle inequalities in line with the Agenda 2030. Global Gateway projects and the implementation of the Global Europe instrument NDICI must be transparent and open to civil society inputs.
