Forum for Equitable Development is inviting to an international web conference

on December 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. (ZOOM link).

What is the reality in Albania, Slovenia and Uganda? How do young people view the future? How do they see gender equality, migration, climate change? What are the reflections of experts? Can development cooperation contribute to a fairer and more equitable future?

The aim of the conference is to find a place for development cooperation and sustainable development in the highly changed conditions caused on one side by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has exposed and deepened inequalities, and, on the other side, by the growing effects of climate changes which impact on our lives. Both phenomena are global, solutions should be global, but in reality, we are increasingly divided and beyond our borders.

As part of the project With Reflections to a Fair and Equitable Future, numerous graphic and written contributions have been created in recent months, reflecting the experiences and perceptions of numerous authors (young people and professionals) on gender equality, migration, climate change and development cooperation. Contributions are published on https://forumfer.org/refleksije/.

The authors will present their contributions at the conference, which will be followed by a discussion with the following speakers:

  • Albin Keuc, NGO Platform for Development, Global Education and Humanitarian Aid – SLOGA
  • Representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia (tbc)
  • Elvana Zhezha, Balkan Center for Cooperation and Development – BCCD, Albania
  • Bolingo Ntahira, Hope of Children and Women Victims of Violence – HOCW, Uganda

The event will be moderated by Ana Kalin (Forum for Equitable Development – FER).

It will be held in English.
